THE OVERALL GOAL OF THIS ROLE:
The Cloud Technical Product Specialist Team is responsible for building the best end-to-end product and user experience. Through the effective transfer of information to the Pure Storage sales force, technology and channel partners, Product Specialists ensure our customers have the knowledge to onboard smoothly and understand the features available from Pure Cloud Block Store and Purity//FA. Product Specialists work closely alongside Product Managers to understand the roadmap, act as Customer Zero to provide critical early feedback on new features, and prioritize content based on a number of different factors.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the Cloud Technical Product Specialist team as a Cloud Product Specialist. In this role, you’ll own the delivery of knowledge about new features to the field and to customers. You’ll use your great communication skills to take your expert-level product knowledge to our field sellers and arm them with the knowledge and tools they need to earn customer trust and win deals.
SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...
In this role, you’ll be:
- A technical SME that works cross functionally to deliver technical enablement to the field.
- You will work with the product management and engineering teams for the Pure Cloud Block Store. Your role will be to contribute to the product’s success by sharing your technical expertise and bringing valuable feedback from the field.
- Collaborating on major engineering integrations that focus on Microsoft SQL Server for deployment and use cases with Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud projects to integrate and simplify Pure Storage offerings related to the public cloud.
- Prototyping orchestration/automation of Pure Storage products such as FlashArray, or Cloud Block Store.
- Developing collateral to explain how Pure Storage products can be used (videos, articles, white papers, blogs, presentations) with cloud and Microsoft infrastructures.
- Training our field, partners, and customers on the value of our cloud and Microsoft offerings and its integrations. This is not just about the how and what, but importantly, the why.
- Contributing to Pure’s Cloud Block Store and cloud-related strategic priorities by producing compelling technical enablement, product demos, and best practices.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- Hands-on experience with data storage and workloads including Azure, AWS, virtualization, databases, and business critical applications.
- 7+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Consulting, Technical Marketing, Technical Product Management or other technical role with an in-depth and hands-on understanding of data center infrastructure, primary, and/or secondary storage.
- Must have public speaking experience and be comfortable in a range of speaking environments from 1-on-1 to large audiences.
- Strong aptitude for translating deeply technical information into easy-to-understand, digestible content
- Experience in delivering white papers, best practices guides, product demos, presentations and enablement content.
- Broad, overall data center and software knowledge required with significant enterprise technical depth.
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple, concurrent priorities and project current and future feature payloads and product strategy in order to provide in-flight feedback.
- Be able to explain complex technical systems and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences through both written and verbal communication.
- Experience defining and executing a roadmap of certifications, reference architectures, automations/workflows, sales collateral, best practices, and demos.
- Eagerness to represent Pure Storage at various industry events and technology seminars.
- Experience with serverless, containers/Kubernetes, VMware vSphere, and other common public cloud computing platforms.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure and/or AWS. Expertise in both is not required but preferred. Work will focus on both platforms.
- Skills to communicate in a clear and concise professional manner, tailored to the appropriate audience; including both verbal and written communications.
You will be based in Prague, Czech Republic. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 4 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
