In this function you will be responsible for the enablement of the overall business strategy to ensure continuous availability of NFR goods and services through competitive sourcing and contracting of these NFR goods and services. In our EU NFR Organization we focus on leveraging the scale and skills of Ahold Delhaize in Europe and this will be a starting point for you at any time.

What will be your responsibilities

* contribute to a deep knowledge of the European and Czech markets for the assigned category/categories (i.e. supplier visits and attending fairs)
* identify the solutions needed and challenge the status quo with the new ideas and solutions
* cooperate in developing a European category strategy and take the ownership of its implementation
* communicate, discuss and agree with the local business owners the European category strategy as well as the annual sourcing event calendar
* harmonize and rationalize specifications across the Ahold Delhaize operating units in Europe by closely working together with the EU category director and the other strategic sourcing managers in the assigned category/categories
* negotiate commercial terms & conditions with the selected supplier(s)
* conclude both legal as commercial terms & conditions and ensure supply by a signed contract
* scan the market for potential suppliers to enhance competition
* identify savings initiatives by a thorough external and internal orientation
* comply with the objectives and standards set on healthy living, sustainable trade, community engagement and climate actions
* support and initiate the development of the NFR Sourcing function in Ahold Delhaize and the implementation of new/better functionalities (processes and systems) for the own category
* you will be in close contact both with Czech colleagues and colleagues from other Operating units of Ahold Delhaize in EU
* your key business stakeholders will include all senior managers of the Ahold Delhaize operating units in Europe

What we expect from you

* more than 3 years of negotiating skills experience in comparable strategic sourcing functions in retail or FMCG
* Bachelor degree is a must, Master degree is preferred
* fluent Czech and English language
* IT skills (desktop applications, legacy systems)
* innovative mindset
* strategic and analytical thinking
* good influencing and decision making
* result orientation as well as customer orientation
* challenging and independent personality
