Your responsibilities

As Junior Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to support Senior Accountant overseeing our German subsidiary‘s finance/accounting agenda. In this role, you will be also communicating with our customers and internal stakeholders (Project Managers).

We are looking for a colleague for at least 75% part-time up to full time employment.

Your key duties include mainly:  

• Collaborating closely with the Senior Accountant to assist with the accounting agenda.
• Managing tasks related to the preparation of monthly reports on customer services and expenses.
• Partiticipation on the invoicing process to customers.
• Participating in regular approval sessions with Project Managers (involving data preparation and facilitation the approvals).
• Communication with customers regarding report approvals.
• Controlling incoming freelancers invoices.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and review of G/L movements.
• Providing support during month-end and year-end close processes.
• Providing administrative support to the Senior Accountant or Finance Director as needed.
• Contributing to the implementation of efficient and effective accounting procedures.

Your role is integral to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes, and your active involvement in various accounting tasks will contribute to the overall success of our finance team.

Your qualifications and experience  

• Previous experience in accounting role (accountant, accounting assistant) is preferred. However, we will welcome also fresh graduate willing to develop herself/himself.
• Understanding of basic acounting principles.
• Fluency in English – spoken, written.
• Knowledge of German is an advantage, not a must.
• You are a pro-active detail oriented person with an analytical mindset.
• You are organised and willing to meet deadlines with proactive and problem-solving approach.
• You are an experienced user of Excel (vlookup, pivot tables.. ).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
