The Role
As an AI Integration Engineer, you are responsible for designing and developing product features and customer solutions, along with the underlying infrastructure, that are based on AI/ML approaches, predominantly LLMs. You will be joining a team of SW and AI engineers responsible for Make AI Assistant and together you will shape its future. You will also interact closely with product managers and software engineers within the product and engineering organization of Make and with AI/ML experts in the broader Celonis AI Group to build scalable and high-quality AI/ML features and solutions for our customers.

- Design and implement various state-of-the-art AI approaches
- Integrate AI/ML based solutions seamlessly into our core product
- Productionalize and scale-up solutions delivered by our research team
- Leverage LLMs to develop novel solutions to customer problems
- Design and build APIs and infrastructure to serve LLM-based solutions on scale
- Have a say in the technical vision and strategy of your team
- Write and review RFCs and technical documentation.
- Review and give feedback on the work of others.
- Grow and help others grow professionally.

What we expect from you
You have a strong technical background in building web services at scale. You know common software design patterns and have applied them in your designs. You produce readable, well documented and tested code. You can have a funded technical discussion and back your opinions by facts and data. In particular, we’d like you to have the following:
- An IT professional with experience in production-level Python services and AI/ML areas.
- Passion about artificial intelligence.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a keen understanding of comprehensive system-wide solutions.
- Proficiency with SQL databases (We extensively use Postgres).
- Previous experience with Langchain, Haystack, Llamaindex or similar frameworks.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent command of English – verbal & written (we’re an international team)
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or equivalent practical experience (in Computer Science or related fields) with 3-5 years of experience
