Requirements

• Knowledge of security systems including anti-virus applications, content filtering, firewalls, authentication systems, intrusion detection and notification systems.
• Proficiency in networking technologies, network security and network monitoring solutions
• Familiar with web-related technologies.

What would be beneficial

• Knowledge of at least one development language (e.g. Python)
• In-depth knowledge of security protocols, principles and best practices.
• Experience with software development lifecycles and associated tooling (e.g. Git).
• Prefer to have experience within cloud environments like AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Prefer to have experience with audits and certification like SOC2 (or similar) and GDPR.
• Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems

The Information Security Engineering team at Vertice is responsible for engineering and operations of all aspects of our Information Security Lifecycle. As a Information Security Engineer you’ll collaborate with your peers and other teams to maintain information security within our Cloud based environment (AWS/GitHub,Google Workspace); you’ll support the day-to-day infrastructure, security and operations of our internal and customer facing services and environments including troubleshooting, problem solving, root cause analysis and general risk analysis as well as observability improvements.

You will help to improve and support our internal and external audit processes, security incident detection and response, secure development lifecycle, data classification and loss prevention, security architecture and compliance goals - integrating and operating various third party tools and systems. Ensuring we keep our systems and data secure, compliant and certified.

As we are at an early stage you will wear many hats and be involved in everything from documentation to troubleshooting deep technical issues within our IT and Platform infrastructure.
