What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Project management / PMO background
- Minimum of 5-7 years proven experience on large-scale projects in the financial services sector.
- The presentation skills required to handle senior stakeholders.
- Proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word (Microsoft Suite of Application).
- Motivated self-starter with ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision making skills.
- Strong team-working skills, working in global teams across multiple time zones.
- Knowledge on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Methodologies like DevOps, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Iterative process.
- Willingness to learn and quick to adapt to changing requirements.
- Identify project issues, communicate them and assist in their resolution.
- Assist in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing project team methodology and performance.
- The preparation and review of project documentation including status reports, risk and issue logs, project plans and other documents as required.
- Actively manage operational issues that arise in conjunction with advisers and stakeholders and provide solutions for colleagues and senior executives.
- Provide the drive to push the projects forward and ensure that delivery milestones are met.
- Proficient knowledge of JIRA and general reporting standards
- Create and maintain detailed technical and user-facing documentation for internal reports and dashboards
- Provide recommendations to end users and leaders on best practices and standardization in implementing and leveraging processes within Jira
