Introduction to the Team

This role sits on the Territory & Incentive Operations team within Commercial Operations division of Expedia Group. This team is responsible for conceptualizing, administering and executing our variable incentive plans, and thereby, plays a critical role in upholding the integrity of our incentive structure and in motivating plan participants to achieve goals. In this role, your expertise and passion for innovation, applying industry best practices and implementing robust process solutions, will improve the experience of our partner-facing teams and enable them to achieve business objectives.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled technical programmer for Incentive Compensation Systems to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical configuration, maintenance, and support of our Incentive Compensation Management System (ICMS). You will collaborate closely with Incentive Operations, Analytics, HR, and IT to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of our incentive compensation programs. Your expertise will be critical in optimizing our system, implementing new features, and ensuring data integrity.

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan Configuration & Deployment: Lead the design, configuration, testing, and rollout of incentive plans in CaptivateIQ, including documenting functional requirements and data flows.
  • System Testing & Maintenance: Test plan calculations during updates or bug fixes to ensure accuracy and system integrity.
  • Data Integration & Quality: Collaborate with data engineering to integrate data sources, monitor data loads, and resolve data quality issues.
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Address system issues and collaborate with vendors and operations teams to resolve errors during pay cycles and accruals.
  • Access & License Management: Manage user access rights and support license provisioning on the ICMS platform.
  • Backlog & Communication: Estimate effort for new features and fixes, maintain a backlog, and provide clear status updates to stakeholders.

Who You Are:

  • Experience: You have hands-on programming and configuration in Incentive Compensation Management systems like SAP Callidus Commissions, Varicent, or CaptivateIQ.
  • Technical Skills: You’re proficient in SQL and integrating data from diverse sources.
  • Testing Expertise: You’re skilled in creating testing plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Solution Design: You’re capable of translating business requirements into effective technical implementations.
  • Analytical Strength: You’re a strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Additional Assets: You have knowledge of incentive plans and pay cycles, experience with JIRA for backlog management, and a strong drive to learn new technologies.
