Role requirements:

• Experience working in Agile teams and Agile methodologies
• Experience with designing, developing, testing, releasing and maintaining high-quality code
• Experience in the following technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, NodeJS, Back-for-frontend pattern (BFF)
• Experience implementing and improving CI/CD pipelines, e.g Azure DevOps, etc.
• Experience with unit testing, applying test-driven development methodologies (Jest/Cypress)
• Experience with DevOps technologies, including Kubernetes, Docker, Helm Charts, Terraform
• Experience with CSS / SCSS / CSS in JS (EmotionJS / Styled Components)
• Experience with Storybook
• Designing, implementing and consuming RESTful APIs using OpenApi documentation

Previous experience with the following will be a plus:

• Knowledge of Azure Cloud Services
• Experience in developing event-driven and microservices solutions
• Experience with GraphQL
• Knowledge of developing robust, secure software using Threat Modeling and tooling such as SonarCloud, DAST, Trivy and Checkov
• Understanding of API management tools such as Azure APIM, Apigee or Kong

About the role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to help drive the development and delivery of their new platform strategy.

They are undergoing a major transformation as they migrate from legacy technologies to a modern JavaScript-based platform. They need strong engineering leaders who can guide technology teams through this journey.

As a Technical Lead, you’ll report to an Engineering Manager while also playing a hands-on role in a cross-functional team. You’ll be expected to lead your team in delivering high-quality features, maintaining performance standards, and ensuring timely delivery. Beyond coding, you’ll mentor engineers, contribute to code reviews, support hiring, and advocate for best practices across the engineering group.
