Staff Data Scientist

At Sudolabs we are building our AI department. We're looking for Staff Data Scientists, who have deep experience with researching and evaluating solutions to complex ML-related problems. You will supervise and mentor other data scientists, helping them find solutions and overcome obstacles. You will also be expected to lead projects and to be a primary technical contact for our clients.

As a Staff Data Scientist, we expect you to:

• be responsible for researching and evaluating solutions to complex ML problems
• supervise and mentor other data scientists, consult them, and help them find solutions and overcome obstacles
• be comfortable applying knowledge from academic papers to day-to-day work
• stay updated on the latest advancements in AI technology and methodologies to ensure the delivery of innovative and effective solutions for clients
• demonstrate expertise in analytical thinking, and the ability to solve ambiguous and open-ended problems
• regularly communicate technical stuff with the client, serve as the primary technical contact for our clients

Who are we looking for?

• Data Scientists who have deep experience with researching and evaluating solutions to complex ML problems
• Several years of hands-on experience with LLMs and/or Gen AI, as well as traditional methods, ideally in an enterprise environment
• Projects you will work on will range between integrating AI functionality using a known solution to improve a product or corporate processes and working on a high-impact problem that requires research and custom solutions
• Product-oriented thinking
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex AI concepts simply to a non-technical audience
• The ability to lead, mentor, and supervise others
• You should be eager to learn new things and improve your skills
• We’re expecting you to be open-minded, share feedback, foster a culture of knowledge sharing, and actively organize technical discussions and events
