Position Summary
We’re looking for a Shopify Front-End Developer with 2 years of experience to join our remote team. You’ll collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to improve and maintain Shopify storefronts for a wide range of e-commerce clients. This is a a great opportunity to grow within a structured, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Implement responsive, cross-browser compatible UIs with clean, semantic mark-up
- Maintain and enhance existing storefronts without compromising functionality
- Collaborate with the team on planning, problem-solving, and feature implementation
- Debug and optimize front-end performance and codebase efficiency
Required qualifications
- 2 years of front-end development experience, ideally in a structured e-commerce environment (8+ employees)
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and asynchronous programming-
- Strong skills in HTML/CSS, including responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Comfortable working with Git and standard version control workflows
- Strong problem-solving ability—able to debug issues and optimize existing code
- Ability to learn independently and bring fresh ideas to the table
- Clear and professional communication skills; able to work across cultures and time zones
Nice to have (not mandatory)
- Deep understanding of native browser APIs and advanced DOM manipulation
- Familiarity with build tools like Webpack, Vite, or similar
- Experience with API integrations (REST or GraphQL)
- Testing mindset, with exposure to unit and integration testing
- Experience using AI tools like Cursor or ChatGPT to boost productivity
