Senior Zscaler Operations Engineer / Architect @ Ework Group

About the Team

You will become part of a global Zscaler Product Team within the Cloud & Corporate Cloud Infrastructure department in Global IT Operations (GITO) at The Client.

• The team consists of both The Client’s colleagues and an external operations partner located across Denmark, India, and Poland.
• It works in close collaboration with the Network Team, IT Security, and the Developer Community.
• The role is remote, based in Poland, with flexible seating access at The Client’s Poland Hub in Warsaw.
• The Poland Hub regularly organizes social events and knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen the local community.

Reporting Line

You will report to the Senior Manager / People Leader in GITO. Daily work priorities are managed by the Product Owner/Scrum Master of the Infrastructure Technologies team.

Onboarding

• Onboarding will be facilitated by team members in Denmark and Poland.
• The consultant is expected to complete relevant training and read Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) before performing any operational tasks.
• No travel is expected at this point.

Main Responsibilities

Ensure Zscaler Performance and Security

• Ensure the implementation, stability, performance, and security of The Client’s Zscaler infrastructure and services.
• Monitor and optimize Zscaler performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively to minimize downtime and ensure optimal network functionality and end-user experience.

Implement and Manage Zscaler Features

• Implement and manage new features, infrastructure, and change requests in Zscaler.
• Design and implement solutions for new locations.
• Deploy Zscaler infrastructure in cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Stay updated on Zscaler’s evolving functionality and industry trends.

Incident Response and Documentation

• Respond to escalated alerts, incidents, and requests in a timely manner.
• Use ServiceNow to manage incidents and maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, procedures

Agile Execution and Design

• Actively participate in agile execution, including Zscaler network and function design discussions.
• Occasionally lead implementation initiatives, including ZPA.
• Drive process improvements and innovation related to Zero Trust technologies.
• Use Azure DevOps within the SAFe Agile Framework for project tracking and collaboration.

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with external Operations Teams to ensure smooth and stable operations.
• Communicate effectively with IT stakeholders, security teams, developer communities, Zscaler representatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Zscaler, CCNA, CCNP, ITIL).
• Hands-on engineering or architectural experience with deep knowledge of, Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX)
• Solid understanding of Network protocols, VPN technologies, Cybersecurity
• Strong experience handling incidents and requests in ServiceNow.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work with an agile and open mindset.

• Remote role based in Poland.
• Access to The Client’s Poland Hub in Warsaw (Building B3 | ul. Krakowiaków).
• Participate in local team events and community activities.
• No travel required at this stage.
