Your background:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficient English written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with Linux OS in virtualized environment
• Experience with C, C++ and strong Java programming skills
• Experience writing/maintaining shared and static service layers
• Experience writing highly available/fault tolerant applications
• Experience with scripting languages e.g. Korn Shell, Bash, Perl
• Experience debugging and patching large, legacy code bases

Desired Experience:

• Experience with Oracle DB including development and maintenance of DDL, SQL, DAT files and use of PL/SQL utility
• Experience with debug tools such as GDB and DBX
• Structures and databases, multi-threading, high performance, memory intensive analytical applications.
• Experience with Cyber Security tools a plus

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Krakow location. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Energy Market Management system platforms and environments.

Reporting to Anders Bjorkman, you will work in a collaborative environment.
