Senior Software Engineer – Biometric Devices

POPIS POZICE:
We are looking for a new colleague to join our development team and contribute to the Factory Software (FSW) – a C# application with a graphical interface, deployed directly in production lines. This software plays a key role in the manufacturing of fingerprint scanners, handling both image data processing and communication with a variety of hardware devices.

The role offers a wide range of tasks – from GUI design and algorithm development to low-level programming. You’ll find a friendly, informal atmosphere, the stability of a global company, and the opportunity to see the results of your work implemented worldwide.

What you will do:
*Design, develop, and test software that supports manufacturing and hardware qualification.
*Collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines to integrate software into production processes.
*Communicate with production teams across different locations and address their needs.
*Analyze logs and production data to optimize and improve existing solutions.
*Estimate effort, define timelines, and deliver tasks according to plan.
*Build tools for testing, diagnostics, and process automation.
*Maintain deployed applications and continuously enhance them.

POŽADAVKY:
What we expect:
*Strong skills in C# and Windows GUI application development.
*Ability to integrate and troubleshoot external hardware/software.
*Experience working with USB devices.
*Familiarity with version control systems (preferably git).
*Solid understanding of multithreading, multitasking, and system-level programming.
*Independent working style combined with good teamwork skills.

Nice to have:
*Knowledge of C/C++.
*Experience with Python scripting and automation.
*Background in biometrics or image recognition.
*Familiarity with USB 2.0/3.0 protocols and device driver installation.

Requirements:
*Technical degree (Bachelor’s minimum, Master’s preferred).
*Experience: at least 5 years (BA) or 3 years (MA).
*Good command of English (spoken and written) for daily communication and technical documentation.
*Knowledge of Czech or Slovak is a strong advantage.
*Legal eligibility to work in the Czech Republic.
