Must-have:

  • Oral and written communication skills, with fluency in English
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving, being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
  • Sysadmin background in Linux administration
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, VPN, firewalls).
  • Good experience with one of these RDBMS products: Postgresql, MS SQL Server, Oracle database
  • Experience in Git, Jira, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker

Nice to have: 

  • Proactive and eager to learn new technologies
  • Knowledge of other (natural) languages
  • Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift/OKD or AWS EKS/ECS
  • Experience with REST API testing, especially with Postman
  • Experience with Cloud deployment, Helm charts and Terraform
  • Experience with Java deployment environments (e.g., Apache Tomcat, Apache ActiveMQ, Artemis)
  • Experience with Elasticsearch
  • Experience with Python script development
  • Experience with Active Directory and LDAP

Working closely with various members of the R&D team, smartKYC is looking for a Senior IT Support Specialist to help deliver the overall smartKYC product to our clients.

Most smartKYC employees have always operated from home but if the candidate is London-based (which isn’t a prerequisite), there is the potential to occasionally join colleagues in a co-working space, in due course. Most smartKYC colleagues are non-UK based.

Recruitment process: 

1) candidate profiles are checked to see if they match expectations;

2) if there is a potential match, there will be a 60-minute call to have a high-level review of the candidate profile and to explain what smartKYC does; in this interview well ask technical questions as well;

3) if the previous interview is successful, well have a second interview with our COO to assess other contract details.
