We are looking for a creative, versatile and motivated Senior Data Engineer to become part of our growing team. This team member will lead data engineering projects to develop and maintain data pipelines for our product, and help produce these data products and algorithms on our scalable analytics platform

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or an Engineering discipline from a top university
• 3-5 years of experience in developing software and/or data products, with programming experience with Python, and one other language (Scala, Java, Rust, ect). Strong skills in algorithms, data structures, technical design, and software architecture
• 2+ years of experience in SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or Big Query preferred), and good understanding of relational concepts
• Experience with cloud and/or big data technologies
• Strong data analysis skills, statistics, knowing what can/cannot be possible, and ability to visualize data in the best way possible
• Good communication skills - written, visual (presentations), and verbal
• Ability to deliver adequate results on deadline and make compromises to enable scalability and productization of algorithms
• Quick learner, and a strong team player
• Geo-spatial skills are a plus
• Knowledge of transportation data / industry is a plus
