Senior Backend RTC Engineer with TypeScript @ SquareOne

Remote

Must-have qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in backend development
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • OOP TypeScript
    • Node.js
    • MongoDB
    • Docker

  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Passion for clean, modular, and maintainable code
  • Proven experience in at least one of the following technical areas:
    • SIP protocol
    • Real-Time Communication (RTC)
    • Networking / Data streaming
    • Low-latency / High-throughput data processing


Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with NestJS, Inversify, or Koa
  • Knowledge of Redis, Jest
  • Microservices architecture
  • Participation in research sprints and technology evaluations

Location: Remote (Polish time zone)
Engagement: Full-time (100% FTE), 150-170 pln/h netto + VAT B2B contract – 6 months with possible extension

Project Description

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer experienced in Real-Time Communication (RTC), low-latency data processing, and distributed backend systems. Our client is a fast-growing AI company building cutting-edge solutions for enterprise-level contact centers. Their platform leverages advanced artificial intelligence to deliver natural and personalized conversations across multiple communication channels — including voice, chat, and messaging apps.

You will collaborate directly with the Engineering Manager / Product Owner, aligning technical architecture with business objectives. This is a fully remote position within the Polish time zone, with occasional client meetings.
