Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional backend engineering experience
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases and DevOps practices.
• GitHub/portfolio showing previous backend, DevOps, and testing projects is a plus

Skills

Proficiency Level: Extensive

• Node.js / Typescript-based backend development (NestJS)
• SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQLite, or similar)
• CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud environments
• Caching and message queues (NATS, RabbitMQ, Kafka)

Proficiency Level: Working

• REST and GraphQL APIs (both client and server side)
• Dockerized deployments
• Monitoring & logging: Prometheus, Sentry, ELK etc

Proficiency Level: Optional

• Frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar)
• Testing frameworks (unit + E2E, e.g., Jest, Playwright, Cypress)
• Knowledge of frontend web design principles and responsive design
• Container orchestration: K8s

We’re a US-based company looking for a Remote Node.js Senior Backend Engineer to lead our efforts in ensuring high-quality user experiences across our ecosystem. You’ll focus on building the backbone of our cloud platform and AI-powered tools. While you may occasionally touch frontend systems, your primary focus will be backend Node.js development, databases, DevOps, and ensuring software quality through robust testing practices.
