  • Strong IT background (Computer Science or Engineering degree) and strong understanding and experience with software development lifecycle
  • Operate on agile Requirements Management tools and like Jira, Confluence
  • Agile mindset, in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum, Scaled Agile. Working in complex settings as Agile Release Trains.
  • AWS knowledge (Architectural Understanding, Ability to challenge technical teams and decide the optimum solution)
  • Knowledge of core AWS Services for storage (S3, FSx), data transfer (DataSync, AWS Transfer), and analytics like Elastic Compute Cluster
    Data-Specific Services: understanding of Databases and graph databases
  • General Cloud Concepts: Understanding of scalability, high availability, fault tolerance, and cost management in the AWS ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with integrating APIs and handling endpoints
  • Data Management: Knowledge of data storage and lifecycles, retrieval, metadata management, data catalog 3.0.
  • Familiarity with Managed Services and external development providers
  • Knowledge in the area of Research and Laboratory Systems is a big plus
  • Experience in Computer System Validation (CSV) environments
  • Regulations: Awareness of privacy, security and compliance regulations and their implications for data handling (e.g. GDPR, audit trails, HIPPA and more)
  • Experience in working in a global, multicultural environment. Flexibility to work with multiple time zones (US and EU & India).
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus

As a Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in organizing, prioritizing, delivering and assessing work for our scrum team to improve business outcomes. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the development of a robust data management platform in the cloud. This platform will handle API connectivity and user interface and must ensure compliance with security regulations.

,[Work with the Product Manager on the establishment of a cloud-based data management platform and metadata cataloging solution for scientific data, Integrating this cloud-based solution with other systems/solutions to deliver coherent end-to-end workflow for scientists., Contribution to roadmap development, Backlog Management and Business Analysis: Creating and prioritizing features and user stories based on customer requirements, observations and ideas for improvements, value, complexity, resource constraints, and objectives. , Developing and actively managing understanding of requirements (complex requirements) and expectations. Refining high-level requirements into detailed specifications (user stories). , Stakeholder management and coordination with the development team, architects, and Product Manager to ensure alignment with product goals and timelines., Lead a team of 12-15 people: BAs, developers, DevOps, QA, Validation, OCM., Release Management, Quality responsibility: ensuring product quality and performance. Non-functional requirements management., Strong analytical capabilities and ability to solve problems creatively., Industry Trends: Keep track of industry trends related to data management and cloud platforms., Communication and collaboration between the business and IT, Working with business stakeholders, interpreting their needs, and collaborating with Business Analysts to create a consistent vision of the product, Working on exploring options and finding the optimal solutions and presenting them to the business stakeholders, Work with the Development and Operational team to simplify the understanding of the requirements coming from stakeholders, Produce written documentation to support the external communication (release notes, user manual, newsletters) and customer adoption (incl. developers experience). , Supervision and guidance on the creation of the internal technical documentation: architecture, technical flows, sequencing diagrams, operational support plans ] Requirements: Tools: Agile, Scrum.
