What Youll Be Building (Your Impact):

As a Senior PHP Developer on the Control team, you wont just write code—youll be the architect of our core business logic. You will:

* Own the Core Application: Develop and evolve the application layer that powers the Dataddo platform, serving as the essential API for our modern Vue.js frontend and our headless customer API.

* Build Seamless Connectivity: Work on the connectors that integrate our platform with a vast array of remote services, allowing you to touch both established and emerging technologies and ensuring you constantly grow your skill set.

* Drive Automation and Efficiency: Join our mission to automate development and deployment processes, making our small, highly effective team even more productive. We value your effort in simplifying our work so we can focus on building (almost) on a green field every day.

The Modern Tech Stack (Where Youll Work):

* Latest PHP and Symfony: Work with the latest Symfony framework and the latest PHP version to build high-performance HTTP servers and long-running queue consumers.

* Cloud-Native Infrastructure: Deploy and run your applications in Kubernetes clusters hosted on AWS and GCP. If youre interested, you can deepen your expertise in this area—its a definite plus!

* DevOps Excellence: Benefit from established Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines powered by GitLab, Helm, and ArgoCD.

Q: Do you expect me to know all the technologies you use?

A: No. We expect you to be able to write nice and readable PHP code that can be easily tested and to have practical experience with PHP development. We use the Symfony framework, but if you know and use another one, it doesnt matter at all, we are mainly interested in the principles and knowledge of SW design. We are happy to welcome you with this foundation and with a desire to develop further.

Q: Are you writing the tests?

A: Yes, we realize how important is the code covered by the tests and thus we write unit and integration tests using PHPUnit. We also ensure that the application is healthy by executing acceptance tests.

Q: What is the flow of development?

A: We use Gitlab for versioning our code. In GitLab we also use the CI/CD pipelines for automating the boring repetitive things. We operate our own staging and production environments which are being deployed automatically using Helm and Argo. We do a code review and run automated tests before each merge request approval.

Q: What equipment do you use?

A: According to the developers preferences. The majority of our developers work on Macs, but we also have a few Linux enthusiasts in our team. We have our local development environment built on top of docker containers and can be run seamlessly on both platforms.

Q: What are the learning opportunities?

A: In addition to being happy to teach you the technologies we use, we also offer the opportunity to travel to conferences and trainings. Personal growth is very important to us. Every month we organize our own internal; TechTalks, where we share interesting facts from the IT world, programming or we just enrich our knowledge in the tools we use. We also organize various lessons, training and courses for junior positions and non-programmers in the company. If you enjoy sharing your knowledge with others, we will be very happy to make you involved and become a lecturer.

Q: How big is the team?

A: A small team full of senior developers and the opportunities to influence the product are waiting for you. There are so far 5 of us in the core PHP team, but besides this, there are 10+ other people participating in the PHP development too with potential of becoming more senior developers. There are more than 20 of us in the SW team and almost 50 of us in the company. In the PHP team you will work with Tomáš, Venca, Stepan and other awesome developers.

Q: Where will I work from?

A: We can offer work from our offices in Prague in Holešovice (Port7), a hybrid model (alternating office / home office). It is up to you. The crucial part is to communicate with the others and not be isolated even though you sit on the other side of the planet.

Q: What benefits do you offer?

A: In the office you get coffee, drinks, snacks.. We also have a sports club card and its up to you to join. 5 weeks of holidays but if its not enough for you, we can always make a deal. Keep in mind that we are not machines, but humans.

We are the Czech startup Dataddo and our main goal is to create our own global product for data transfer across various systems and platforms. We use modern technologies and rely on precisely done work and open communication. We develop a robust backend through which customer data flows and we ensure that even a non-technical customer is able to interconnect their systems and transfer data between them within a few minutes
