Mid Business Intelligence Analyst @ Amway

• Proficient in data integration, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle), and cloud data platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, BigQuery).
• Experience with data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and stream processing systems (e.g., Kafka).
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and building executive dashboards.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data into business insights for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead projects from concept to completion.
• Familiarity with data security, governance, and compliance best practices.

What you’ll do:

Data Integration & Management

• Design, build, and manage data pipelines that gather and store data from multiple sources (cloud, on-premises databases, etc.).
• Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to cleanse, transform, and load data into data warehouses or other storage systems.
• Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of data systems, including data quality, validation, and governance.
• Implement data security and privacy standards across all data platforms.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive actionable business outcomes.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders across the organization.
• Collaborate with business units to define key metrics and build models that predict future trends and outcomes.

Solution Development & Deployment

• Design and develop data solutions, including databases, data lakes, and data warehouses, that support business analytics and reporting needs.
• Establish and enforce data architecture and design standards for software, systems, and applications to ensure data consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with software engineers and other IT professionals to integrate data solutions into enterprise applications.

Technical Tooling & Automation

• Leverage AI, machine learning, and big data techniques to automate data collection, cleansing, transformation, and storage processes.
• Develop and implement automated processes for data validation, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Use programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) and data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) to build custom data solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

• Lead cross-functional teams to define and prioritize data needs, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Educate and guide stakeholders on the use of data analytics tools, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure data solutions meet both technical and business requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Conduct root cause analysis on data and processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in data engineering, analytics, and data science to continually enhance data capabilities.
• Proactively identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to solve business problems and improve data operations.

Documentation & Support

• Document all data processes, architectures, and solutions to ensure transparency and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Provide ongoing support for data systems, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring continuous operation.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on business processes, data flows, and data models.
