The ideal candidate will have:

• 1+ years of Scala experience (doesnt need to be commercial, but we are looking for someone with solid basics)
• Hands-on, proactive approach
• Good GIT understanding
  
• Good understanding of HTTP
• Good understanding of GIT
• Good understanding of SQL (not necessarily writing complex queries, but solid understanding of available tools, e.g. window functions)
• Linux as your daily driver
• Solid understanding of Linux as developer environment (more is better!)
• Ability to work in the EST timezone (in some teams, not all)
• Proficiency in English enables effective communication in an international environment.

Correct Context is looking for a Junior+ Scala Developer for Comscore in Poland and around.

We have multiple Scala + Spark teams where we develop petabyte scale data processing pipelines. We are looking for multiple people to form a Junior Data Processing team Scala team. We will be learning Spark and Data Processing at Scale.

This will be a supervised self-learning path:

• You’ll have access to experienced Spark engineers, curated materials, books, and mentoring support 
• Learning won’t be a structured “university-style” program - you’ll solve real problems, implement real solutions, and learn by doing 
• After 1-2 months, you will join one of our production Scala + Spark teams, working on data workflows in areas like TV, Digital, Mobile, and Streaming  
• We expect that you’ll learn a lot, grow quickly, and become a strong contributor

The recruitment process for the Junior+ Scala position has following steps:

1. Technical screening - 30 min 
2. Technical interview - 1h-2h (offline task can be part of that) 
3. Interview with Manager - ~30 min
