At the earliest possible date, we are looking for a for our Operational Technology department

System Administrator / IT Specialist for IBM i / AS/400 in the

System support and application development (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

• Administration and further development of our IBM i (AS/400) system landscape during ongoing operations
• Maintenance and optimization of existing applications
• Analysis of requirements and implementation of adaptations in close cooperation with the specialist departments
• Collaboration on system modernization, interface integration and process automation
• Monitoring, performance optimization and documentation as part of system operation
• Designing a sustainable and future-proof use of the IBM i platform within our company

Your qualifications / experience in the area of IBM i:

• Sound professional experience in administration and development on IBM i (AS/400)
• Good knowledge of RPG, ideally also ILE RPG, Java, SQL and other languages of the IBM stack
• Know-how in system structure, job control, user management and interface communication
• Independent, structured way of working and willingness to take on responsibility

Your induction in the area of IBM i:

• Training or professional experience in the IT sector (e.g. application development, system administration)
• Affinity for complex systems and interest in familiarizing yourself with the IBM i platform and RPG programming
• Willingness for further training and qualification (internal / external)
• Willingness to learn, team spirit and long-term interest in supporting a stable, business-critical system
