GL Accountant with English/ Amazing opportunity

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized GL Accountant to join our great team in Prague. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our financial records, analyzing financial data, and preparing financial statements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records by recording, verifying, and entering transactions
• Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies
• Analyze revenues, expenses, and account balances to ensure accurate recording and reporting
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and analytical reviews
• Facilitate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures
• Perform daily routine tasks related to GL activities
• Reconcile accounts, vendors, and customers
• Collaborate with operations and business teams to resolve GL-related issues
• Support the preparation of quarterly corporate reporting under IFRS standards
• Contribute to process improvements and internal controls enhancements
• Participate in regular audits and support as a backup as needed

Requirements:
• Relevant education and experience in accounting
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Willingness to learn new skills and develop with the company
• IT proficiency in Excel and SAP
• Fluency in English
• Ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from manager
