We are looking for an experienced colleague for the position of IT CMDB Specialist for the newly built IT Asset Management Global Competence Centre located in the Czech Republic, which will provide IT services to internal customers across the whole Vienna Insurance Group, operating mainly in Central and Eastern Europe. The competence center will be responsible for the delivery of information and administration of data regarding Group-wide IT assets to other Cyber Defense Centers within VIG Group. This data will be collected regularly by the discovery and mapping solution which is deployed across VIG Group countries and entities in on-premise and cloud environments.

In this role, you will be directly responsible for the design of the binding CMDB logical model (incl. ER scheme, detailed documentation of managed IT Asset/CI types, attributes, and so on); determination of key identifiers to be used for data identification and reconciliation; determination of authoritative data sources for required IT Assets, and definition of recommended data collection schedule. As the expert for CFGM, you will be also responsible for the design, deployment, and execution of these processes in the organization as well.

Key responsibilities:

* Evaluation and approval of proposed IT asset/CI types to be incorporated into the CMDB logical model
* Designing and maintaining the logical model of the CMDB, incl. managed IT asset/CI types, their attributes, and relationships
* Ensuring proper mapping of defined IT asset/CI types, attributes, and relationships to native classes/objects of used supporting ITAM tools
* Defining reliable data reconciliation and normalization rules ensuring data stored in CMDB is correct and valid
* Design and maintenance of Configuration Management processes (incl. procedures for unauthorized change management, etc.)
* Determining the most effective ways of data collection per respective IT asset/CI type
* Maintaining the process of IT asset data collection over time
* Visualizing data using tools such as Power BI or similar tools
* Detecting and tracking gaps, inconsistencies, and/or missing expected data either from automated or manually edited sources
* Defining appropriate IT asset/configuration data access rules
* Providing operational support for CMDB as an important source of asset data for the Global Cyber Defense team

What will you need:

* Czech – native speaker, English – working proficiency
* Excellent knowledge of the Configuration Management processes
* Excellent knowledge of and experience with CMDB repository design (at least 10 years): Design and documentation of the CMDB repository logical model, definition of data identification, reconciliation, and normalization rules, design of efficient CMDB solution
* Practical implementation of large CMDBs repositories
* Experience with design and deployment of complex discovery systems and with planning and maintaining automated discovery
* Manager’s ITIL certification a significant advantage (esp. ver. 2 or ver. 3, ver. 4 not required)
* Practical experience with ITIL processes required and knowledge of the process design and implementation
* Experience and working knowledge of IT infrastructure: hardware/virtualization/containerization/OS, application SW (DBs, application servers, web servers, etc.), public Cloud and cloud services
* Experience with agile approach and techniques is advantage
